Web/Social Media Producer, St. Louis Public Radio, St. Louis, Missouri, September 2010 - Present

 - Collaborates with news director and reporters to convert radio scripts to web  text, curate corresponding photos and links for each and post them online using a content management system. Sometimes serves as photojournalist for feature pieces as requested. Builds out topic-specific "mini-sites" using Wordpress and curates the content for those sites.

- Worked on the logistics of a new site launch in the Core Publisher pilot program with NPR Digital Services. This process included testing of the new site, attending weekly webinars and collaborative calls regarding site mechanics and editorial processes, and training of reporters on how to post stories using the new platform.

- Operates primary Twitter and Facebook accounts for the radio station. Also provides consultation to the operators of other station social media accounts and social media training to other radio station personnel. Also uses social media to tip reporters of possible story leads.

- Implements social media and engagement campaigns for the radio station to increase the value of our role as members of the St. Louis community.

- Wrote a weekly blog, updated an internal wiki, communicated strategically with the PBS audience and collaborated with co-workers to shape the direction of the PBS social media initiative, PBS Engage.

- Compiled metrics data using Google Analytics, connected numerous sections of the company through extensive internal communications and collaborated with the graphic design department to jumpstart the redesign of sites contained in the footer of PBS.org.

- Gained an understanding of PBS corporate structure and attended numerous internal seminars to strengthen knowledge in the areas of marketing, search engine optimization, program production, interactive site development and more.
